Everybody said the same and it was lovely the way you organised it , the homemade stuffing and the meat was fantastic.

I wanted to write to Rik as I didn’t have the chance to say good bye and to thank him for all his hard work on Sunday.
I could run out of positive adjectives to describe the whole experience from booking - all those months ago - to closing down after serving.
Rik is one of the most charming and accommodating men I’ve met, and all of my guests said so. They loved the setup, which was done without any fuss or tantrums (which can do often be the case), and the pork baps and accompaniments went down a treat; and it was amazing to be able to offer the veggie alternative which were also highly recommended. Absolutely delicious … and so much of it too. All in all, a lovely experience. 10/10 every time and highly recommended.

Re: on the day of the wedding Rik and his team were amazing the comments on the quality of the food and service from the guests were very positive, amazing, delicious etc are how the food was described, everyone loved it. Rik and his partner were so focussed and attentive, they were even aware despite being over 200 people to serve that the bride and groom had not eaten nor had my husband and I therefore they ensured this was plated up for us before offering second helpings to guests. Astonishing really. Thank you Rik and the team.
I would wholeheartedly recommend “Spitting Pig “ to anyone considering holding any type of event , a much more relaxed atmosphere than a formal meal setting.

The canapes we picked were just perfect during our drinks reception and everything flowed really nicely between those and the main service of food. The BBQ ribs and the mac and cheese were just phenomenal and everybody said how much they enjoyed the food. A real hit!

Your team arrived as planned and getting through security was painless thanks to some pre-arrival security checks being completed at this end. While professional throughout they were clearly excited to be onboard a warship and as encouraged, made the most of getting around and seeing everything. Hopefully they got something back from the day too. If nothing else, probably a once in a lifetime experience.

From the succulent sausages and BBQ ribs to the 18-hour slow cooked brisket, everything was delicious (even the vegetarian options 😊). Many of our staff have remarked on how great the food was – it went down a storm!

Everyone really enjoyed the pig roast and commented how nice the food was and how friendly Richard was. I did get the opportunity to talk to him also and as some of the guest had said, he was very friendly, professional and did a great job, couldnt have been better. We did have a laugh in the morning when the Groom walked into venue to find the farmer (venue owner) just finishing off the small amount of meat left over, he went very red faced.
Thank you for arranging everything in such short notice and I do hope you get some more business from some of the guests, I am sure you will, certainly deserve to. I hope I have the need again for your services in the future.

Rik and his team delivered everything stated when we booked our celebration. On top of catering 86 Al Fresco meals Rik had travelled over 200 miles first. The local Spitting Pig chef in Cornwall was already committed to his own son’s wedding so Rik picked up the request and we are very grateful.
Our daughter got married in a beautiful garden setting and Rik’s team arrived, delivered the food and left leaving not a speck behind them which was particularly important to the venue owner.
Hoping Rik might like another trip across the border for our 40th wedding anniversary 😄🤞.
Highly recommend Rik and Spitting Pig in general as communications, paperwork etc were top drawer!

We had Spitting Pig Torbay cater our wedding and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The food was delicious – from the canapés to desserts – with many of our guests impressed at how tasty the food was. It was important for us to have the meal gluten free due to a few severe allergies and the chefs went above and beyond to make sure that everything was safe and still delicious. We seriously recommend this company to any couple looking for flexible but amazing food for their wedding!

Highly recommend – Spitting Pig who served our company team members something special, as a thank you for all the hard work they have been doing recently.
We had their Hog Roast in a soft white roll, with plenty of homemade apple sauce poured over, then topped with crackling, coleslaw & sauce of choice (I had a little chilli sauce) the meat texture was perfect & taste was incredible. The smell of the pork cooking along with the fresh salads was just incredible.
The team served us with lots of humour, warmth & professionalism.

We had an incredible time, very much helped by Rik! He was absolutely fantastic, and nothing was too much trouble.
He was great for the entirety of the planning process, always had time for questions, and happy to help out where he could.
The actual event was perfect too, everyone complimented the food, it was all delicious, including the vegetarian and vegan option. We also had a few who didn't eat pork and Rik was more than happy to help us with an alternative option for them.

Just want to let you know how much we all loved the food last night, I haven’t tasted anything that good for a long time! Definitely been the talking point of the night with all our family, especially that crackling. For a first time having a hog roast we were very impressed! We didn’t quite know what to expect at first but the service was fantastic, it tasted fantastic, overall just fantastic!!
The pork was so flavourful, I was worried that everyone might not like pork / want to eat pork but I remember most tried to make room for seconds haha. So it was a definite hit with the guests!
