Make Hog Roast Ivybridge Your Go-To Corporate Caterer!

Hog Roast IvybridgeWhen a local business asks you to help feed more than 200 people, you know it’s going to be a lively day. And that was certainly the case when Hog Roast Ivybridge teamed up with Bandvulc Tyres Ltd earlier this month…

On the 13th of March, the well-known tyre brand – which has been in the industry for more than fifty years – hosted a large gathering and needed a reliable catering team to keep everyone well fed. Luckily for us, they got in touch ahead of the event and asked if we could handle a luncheon for 220 guests – naturally, we were more than happy to step in.

Our catering manager, Rik, chatted through the plans with the organisers beforehand to get a clear idea of what they had in mind. And this time around, the request was a little different from our usual menus – which we always enjoy. While hog roasts and BBQ spreads are our bread and butter, we love it when clients bring something new to the table.

In this case, the brief was pretty simple. They wanted some proper British fish and chips.

Easy.

As always, Hog Roast Ivybridge made sure every ingredient met our usual standards. The fish was carefully sourced, fresh and high quality before being battered and fried until the coating turned beautifully crisp and golden. Once ready the fish goujons were served with fluffy chips and a generous helping of mushy peas – exactly the kind of comforting meal people love.

Hog Roast IvybridgeThe finishing touches matter too and we made sure guests were able to help themselves to salt, vinegar and a range of sauces to customise their meal just the way they liked it. Plus, we certainly didn’t forget about those with different dietary preferences. For the vegans and vegetarians attending the event, we prepared quorn-based fish-style fillets that delivered the same satisfying flavour and texture – and judging by the reactions, they went down just as well as the traditional version.

To keep things easy for everyone mingling and chatting, the meals were served in handy disposable boxes with eco-friendly bamboo cutlery. It meant guests could wander, talk and eat without being tied to a table.

All in all, it was a fantastic event and a pleasure to be involved.
