Saturday was an absolute blast for the Hog Roast Woodford catering crew! We were called in to sprinkle some of our culinary magic on a children’s festival, and what a fantastic day it turned out to be for all involved!
The event was buzzing with energy, thanks to dazzling performances from Little Mix, Bruno Mars, Ariana Grande, and Taylor Swift tribute artists. Their lively beats had the crowd (and our caterers!) dancing and singing all day long.
There were all sorts of fun activities too, keeping attendees of all ages entertained. The licensed bar kept the adults happy with boozy beverages, while the kids were entranced by roaming Jurassic dinosaurs (okay, they were people in costume, but they were pretty convincing!).
Children’s entertainers, bubbleologist workshops, and face painters added to the merriment. Performers dressed as Mario, Sonic, Barbie, and Stitch brought beloved characters to life, spreading joy and laughter everywhere they went. Meanwhile, a giant funfair, with rides and games provided endless thrills!
With all these activities, guests worked up quite an appetite. So it was lucky for them the festival boasted a vibrant food scene. Guests had their pick of Greek gyros, authentic Italian pizzas, and so much more. But, if we may toot our own horn for a moment, Hog Roast Woodford’s signature hog roast proved a crowd favourite.
Our stall was the ultimate destination for hungry festival-goers! The aroma of our slow-cooked hog roast wafted through the air, drawing people in like a magnet. Our team was all smiles as we served up plate after plate of deliciousness. The joy and satisfaction on the faces of our guests made all the hard work worthwhile.
Guests couldn’t get enough of our succulent shredded pork, crispy crackling, savoury sage and onion stuffing, and tangy applesauce, all crammed together on gluten-free or wholemeal buns. Each bite was a flavour explosion that had people yearning for more!
The children’s festival turned out to be a roaring success, and we were thrilled to be a part of it. Our hog roast added an extra layer of magic to an already amazing day.
