Julie runs an adaptive clothing company that works to provide fashionable clothes for people with physical disabilities. To raise awareness of her brand and the importance of what she does, Julie often speaks at conferences, seminars, and public forums. This February, she hosted a seminar of her own in Torbay, with a discussion about her work, a display of her popular clothing, and a Q&A panel with others in the industry. Alongside the corporate side of the event, Hog Roast Torre was hired to cater for the occasion with a delicious buffet menu. After looking through our catering options, it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal for the occasion since it can include something for everyone to enjoy.
On the day of the seminar, Rik and the Hog Roast Torre team arrived at the venue in the morning and began to prepare for the 3:00pm serving time. We began by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it was cooked to perfection. Once ready, it was expertly carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we provide halloumi and vegetable skewers and BBQ-pulled jackfruit as meat-free options. The mains were accompanied by homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of salad dishes, creating a varied and nutritious buffet lunch. Our catering went down a treat and was a great addition to the day, with plenty for everyone to enjoy. We had more than enough to go around and our buffet style meant that everyone could enjoy exactly what they wanted from our selection of dishes.
