Here at Hog Roast Exeter, we like to think of ourselves as being more than your typical catering service. We’re the maestros of meaty masterpieces. Sultans of succulent swine. You get gist – when it comes to food, we’re at the top of our class. So, when Lidl invited us to cater their corporate bash on 1st October, we were ready to bring some serious flavour to the festivities!
The event was held at their Distribution Centre over at Chillpark Brake, where 120 staff had gathered for a huge company meeting, rounded off with some tasty food. Hog Roast Exeter was absolutely thrilled to be in charge of cooking for the hungry troops and proudly presented our showstopping whole roasted hog with crackling, savoury stuffing and applesauce. With a selection of bread rolls and wraps served on the side, guests were able to build their own custom sandwiches, which went down a storm!
But believe it or not, there’s more to Hog Roast Exeter than hogs – much more! Rounding out the spread, we served up fresh tomato and mozzarella salads, crunchy mixed salads and creamy coleslaw for balance. And for the potato lovers, we offered chips, sweet potato fries, or a cheeky mix of both, with a lineup of sauces, plus good old salt and vinegar – because fries without a little drama? Unthinkable.
Veggies and vegans weren’t left out, either. Our Grilled Vegetable Skewers were served with optional halloumi for the vegetarians and came with wraps, a tangy tzatziki, and a sweet-and-punchy chilli sauce. So delicious, even meat-eaters were caught sneaking bites.
Everything was served buffet-style on eco-friendly wooden plates with wooden cutlery – we’re fancy like that. With 120 hungry guests ready to dive in bang on 1 PM, the energy was electric, the plates were stacked, and the laughs were endless.
At Hog Roast Exeter, we don’t just serve food – we serve memories. Whether it’s a corporate event, birthday bash, or garden party, we bring the crackle, the flavour, and yes… the fun. Because life is better when you’ve got a hog roast in one hand and a smile on your face.
