Hog Roast Exeter – Early Morning Trade Event at Huws Gray

Hog Roast Exeter The Hog Roast Exeter team was up bright and early for a bustling trade event at Huws Gray Exeter, bringing our signature flavours and freshly cooked delights to kickstart the morning for 150 guests. Under the expert direction of Catering Manager Rik, the day began with the comforting aroma of sizzling bacon and freshly baked rolls filling the air — the perfect welcome for early risers.

Guests were treated to classic bacon rolls, served piping hot with a selection of sauces to suit every taste, from smoky brown sauce to tangy tomato ketchup. For those opting for a meat-free start, we also provided a vegetarian alternative, ensuring everyone could enjoy a hearty breakfast before the day’s activities began. Served neatly onto napkins or high-quality disposable plates, this morning service set a warm and welcoming tone for the event.Hog Roast Exeter

But the Hog Roast Exeter team didn’t stop there. As the day rolled on, we fired up the roaster once again for a mouth-watering lunchtime service, featuring a whole roasted pig — slow-cooked to perfection and crowned with irresistible crispy crackling. Guests tucked into generous portions of sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce, all served with a variety of freshly baked bread rolls and wraps, including gluten-free options.

For the non-meat eaters, our chefs prepared two delicious vegetarian and vegan options. The first was our ever-popular grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, with a vegan version available without halloumi — served alongside soft wraps, tzatziki dip, and a sweet, punchy chilli sauce. The second was our vegan pulled jackfruit, steeped in rich hickory BBQ sauce and served in a bun with crunchy slaw — a plant-based favourite even the meat lovers couldn’t resist.

Everything was served buffet style, making it easy for guests to grab a plate, enjoy the food, and get back to networking and exploring the event. With top-quality food, efficient service, and that unmistakable Hog Roast Exeter charm, this trade event was a true success from sunrise to finish.
