On the evening of 23rd April, Hog Roast Torbay had the absolute pleasure of catering Rebecca and Charlotte’s beautiful wedding celebration in the scenic coastal town of Bude. With around 80 guests gathered to celebrate the happy couple, it was a joyful, relaxed occasion filled with love, laughter and seriously good food.
For their wedding breakfast, Rebecca and Charlotte chose our Southern Slow Roast Menu, and it couldn’t have been a better fit for the vibe of the evening. The couple picked three showstopping mains: BBQ pork butt, Texan 24-hour beef brisket, and Cajun spiced whole roast chickens — each one cooked low and slow for maximum tenderness and rich, smoky flavour. The scent alone had mouths watering well before our 8pm serving time!
Guests had their choice of soft bread rolls and wraps, including wholemeal options, and could load them up with generous helpings of meat and a selection of house-made sauces. The legendary hickory bourbon BBQ sauce was a clear crowd favourite, while the Cajun hot pepper sauce was reserved for the brave!
Hog Roast Torbay also made sure our vegetarian and vegan guests had options to tuck into, including the likes of our popular grilled vegetable skewers, with or without halloumi, served with wraps, tzatziki, and sweet chilli sauce. To round out the feast, the couple chose Greek salad, corn cobettes, and a homemade gourmet coleslaw, plus plenty of sweet potato and traditional fries to keep everyone fuelled well into the night.
Everything was served eco-style on wooden bamboo crockery with high-quality wooden cutlery and napkins, keeping in line with the couple’s sustainable and green-focused lifestyle.
