For Craig and Amanda, the dream of starting a new life abroad had always seemed like a distant fantasy – until late last year, when Craig received an offer for a transfer to Australia. With their paperwork sorted and bags packed, the couple eagerly anticipated their upcoming adventure under the sunny skies of Down Under. But before bidding farewell to their loved ones, Craig and Amanda’s friends and family had something truly special in store for them.
Understandably, emigration can be bittersweet, leaving loved ones feeling a mix of sadness and excitement for the journey ahead. And with Craig and Amanda’s impending departure, their families knew they wanted to send them off in style. Joining forces, they organised an unforgettable farewell party at a luxury villa overlooking the coast, where 175 guests gathered to celebrate the couple’s new chapter.
The Hog Roast Wellswood team was honoured to be a part of this momentous occasion, ensuring that no one went home hungry. Under the careful supervision of our catering manager, Rik, our team spared no effort in delivering a feast to remember. With early food prep underway, our team arrived at the venue eight hours before serving time, allowing the hog roast to cook to perfection over a bed of sage and onion stuffing.
As the savoury aromas filled the air, Rik and his team meticulously set the scene, adorning dining tables with white tablecloths and real crockery and cutlery. Soon, guests began to arrive, eager to celebrate Craig and Amanda’s fresh start.
Hog Roast Wellswood’s menu, crafted with care and precision, further featured grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers with flatbreads and tzatziki dip, fresh salads, coleslaw, and mixed fries to complement the spectacular hog roast rolls. Stuffed with crackling, pulled pork, stuffing, and applesauce, each bite was a symphony of flavours that left guests craving more.
As the festivities unfolded, Craig and Amanda couldn’t have asked for a better send-off. Surrounded by love, laughter, and Hog Roast Wellswood’s heavenly food, the pair bid farewell to their loved ones with hearts full of gratitude and excitement for the adventure that lay ahead.
