When planning your wedding, choosing a location is one of the most important decisions to make. Another big decision is deciding on a caterer. Luckily, Hog Roast Plymouth are perfect for wedding catering and has plenty of packages for you to choose from. Here is just one menu for you to enjoy…
Earlier this August, Mike and Jade celebrated their wedding with a beautiful reception at The Corinthian in Plymouth. The venue has a beautiful seafront view, creating the perfect setting for such a special occasion. For the catering, our manager Rik was hired to serve a classic hog roast, with several additional dishes to create a varied and filling buffet lunch. There were 80 guests invited to the reception, including several meat-free guests, so we made sure that our menu was perfectly customised to suit the guest list.
On the day of the wedding, the Hog Roast Plymouth team arrived at the wonderful venue in the morning and began preparing the menu. We started by slow-roasting the hog which was cooked for over five hours before the 14:30 serving time. The pork was then carved and served in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative, accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For a meat-free alternative, we also served grilled vegetables and halloumi skewers, which are nutritious and incredibly tasty. For the side dishes, the guests enjoyed herb-dressed new potatoes, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. Overall, the menu had plenty of dishes for the guests to choose from, with something for everyone to enjoy. Our menu went down as a success as the reception, with many guests lining back u at our catering station for a second serving! The Hog Roast Plymouth had a great time catering for Jade and Mike’s wedding and we hope that they have an excellent future together.
