Covid put a lot of weddings on hold. Thankfully Hog Roast Marldon has been able to honour their previous bookings and help with the much-deserved celebrations! One couple who had been waiting and putting it off managed to finally tie the knot on Saturday and what a celebration it was!
Hog Roast Marldon began with a selection of canapés as the guests arrived from the wedding ceremony. Tony and Michaelle had chosen four. Their first choice was the simple yet tasty mini cheese and tomato pizza’s finished with a fresh basil leaf. Even though these were their safe option for the children, the adults enjoyed these equally as much as the kids. Their second choice was the tangy and sweet honey and mustard sausages, people couldn’t get enough of these! The third choice was the dreamy chicken satay sticks served with a sweet chilli dip and their final choice was Hog Roast Marldon’s Indian selection including Indian favourites vegetable samosas and onion bhaaji’s. A fantastic, tasty start with many guests offering compliments.
The main was a delicious spread of tender pulled pork, flavourful sage and onion stuffing and sides including roasted new potatoes cooked with bulbs of garlic and rosemary sprigs, fresh mixed salad, tangy coleslaw with lemon zest and sweet and creamy cherry tomato and buffalo mozzarella salad. Tony and Michelle had requested chicken nuggets and chips for the children which they absolutely loved.
The newlyweds had created their own dessert table, it helps that Michelle is a baker by trade! She had made the most rich and gooey brownies, divine millionaire shortbreads, chewy cookies, fluffy fruit scones and individual Victoria sponge cakes. They all looked absolutely delicious. Hog Roast Marldon provided the serving utensils, plates, napkins, fresh berries and cream for the dessert table.
As people started to help themselves to desserts, Hog Roast Marldon cleared the plates off the tables ready for people to sit down and enjoy the sweet treats.
Hog Roast Marldon later sliced their lemon wedding cake into portions and wrapped them into napkins so that guests could either enjoy them in the evening or take them home with them.
