With wedding season now full steam ahead, our Hog Roast Boscastle team has been extra busy with bookings recently, and, on the 14th of May, we had the utmost pleasure of assisting Katherine and Jonathan with their dream wedding, which was held at the famous Tremenheere Sculpture Garden in Penzance.
Surrounded by stunning scenery and exotic gardens with views onto the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount, this breath taking venue couldn’t have been more perfect for the couple’s big day. They were even more fortunate that the sun made an appearance, which further boosted the overall mood and atmosphere of the event.
85 people joined the couple in celebrating their union, and once the vows had been exchanged and dozens of family memories had been captured by the hired photographer, Hog Roast Boscastle treated the ravenous group to our sensational Alfresco Menu!
Featuring Italian antipasti platters consisting of cold cut meats, the finest gorgonzola, mozzarella and Parmigiano cheeses, home-baked artisan bread loaves, olives and fruit served on eco-friendly bamboo boards, these fabulous appetiser displays were perfect for whetting the guests’ appetites in the lead up to the main course!
Up next was our signature hog roast with deliciously crispy crackling, savoury sage and onion stuffing and sweet and tangy applesauce with side options of roasted new potatoes, tomato and mozzarella salad, mixed green leaf salad, gourmet coleslaw and a chafing dish filled to the brim with Hog Roast Boscastle’s very own butcher sausages. Our catering manager, Rik, also made sure to whip up a large enough batch of our grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers for all the veggie and vegan guests the couple had invited.
The group were over the moon with the choice of foods that Hog Roast Boscastle prepared and they were all in agreement that our homemade individual cheesecakes and profiteroles smothered in a rich chocolate sauce were ideal for rounding off the meal! The bride and groom, in particular, were ecstatic with the service that our crew provided, and Katherine has since been in touch to thank Rik and the team for serving a sensational feast!
