Earlier this October, Rik and the Hog Roast Torquay had the pleasure of catering for a surprise birthday party hosted for This Morning’s very own Steven Wilson! The party took place at Bradstone Weddings, which is a beautiful historic venue comprised of multiple areas, including a range of rustic farm barns. For the menu, we were asked to provide a classic hog roast accompanied by all of the trimmings for 150 hungry guests. Our team was more than happy to get involved and we knew that our menu would go down a treat at the party!
On the day of the event, Rik and the Hog Roast Torquay team arrived at the venue in the morning and began to prepare everything on-site. All of our dishes are prepared on the day to ensure freshness with every bite, enhanced by our high-quality ingredients. The star of this menu was our succulent, slow-roasted hog, which was cooked to perfection for around five hours. The pork was expertly carved by our chef and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, crispy crackling, and homemade applesauce. Additionally, we served a variety of side dishes, including a gourmet tomato and mozzarella salad, and a selection of green leaf salads. Overall, our menu combined to create the perfect menu for the occasion, with more than enough to go around. It was great to see Steven enjoy the party with his friends and family and it was so much fun to be in on the surprise!
