Hog Roast Churston Ferrers were absolutely smitten by the little guests at their latest event. The team was hired by a local dog training firm to provide the catering for a small puppy party event; the food produced by the team wasn’t for the puppies, but rather for their proud parents/owners.
The clients wanted a simple but very tasty buffet for the puppy parents to enjoy while their pooches played together as a celebration for having completed their puppy training courses. The buffet would need to feed 30 hungry puppy parents at 11am, directly after the celebratory lesson where the puppies showed off everything they’ve learnt.
The Chef from Hog Roast Churston Ferrers arrived at the training field several hours prior to the serving time. The Chef would be setting up the gazebo and cooking equipment in a sectioned off part of the field, so that the puppies could not eat all the food for themselves or get in the way of the hard working Chef.
The clients selected to go for generic menu 1, which is a Classic Hog Roast. The succulently slow roasted pig would be served with a delicious apple sauce, crispy crackling and a homemade stuffing. This would be served with soft floured rolls. Although the clients were pleased to select menu 1 they did make a slight alteration and the Hog Roast Churston Ferrers team were happy to accommodate. The clients added a Hog Roast Churston Ferrers favourite, a platter of sweet potato loaded fries to the menu.
The catering package the clients paid for not only included the preparation and cooking of the food, but it also included the use of high quality disposable crockery and cutlery. After the guests had enjoyed their delicious buffet the Chef would discreetly collect the rubbish and remove it from site to be safely disposed of.
The Chef absolutely loved working on this event, and after having finished preparing and then tidying away from the event he was delighted to be allowed to meet some of the puppies! Hog Roast Churston Ferrers loved working at this event and can’t wait to do similar events in the future.
