Lily and Jess are best friends from Torbay who have been travelling across Australia and Asia for the last year and a half. This December they are set to return home and their parents are currently in the process of organising a ‘welcome home’ party for them to enjoy. The pair have so many friends and family members that have missed them while they have been travelling, so it is sure to be a busy and exciting event for everyone in attendance. To allow everyone to make the most of the reunion, Hog Roast Shiphay has been hired to cater for the occasion, meaning the entire catering process will be under control. For the menu, our manager Rik has been hired to provide a classic hog roast for the occasion, to give the guests of honour a taste of some real British comfort food for the first time in a long time!
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Shiphay team will arrive at the venue in the morning to prepare for the midday serving time. The party is taking place at Lily’s family home, so our team will be preparing our catering station in the kitchen. For the menu, we will be serving a delicious slow-roasted hog, served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be providing homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and a selection of seasonal salad dishes. The event is sure to be a lot of fun and the Hog Roast Shiphay team is looking forward to getting involved!
