Carol and her partner have been dating since they first met 20 years ago. Initially, they never planned to get married and were happy simply being together, although their plans changed in 2020. With Covid-19 and ill health in the family, the couple decided that they wanted to get engaged and marry as life is too short to wait any longer! For their wedding, the couple wanted something traditional and intimate, with only close friends and family in attendance. They wanted a wedding menu that reflected the size of the reception, with the 25 guests enjoying a delicious three course meal.
Following the beautiful wedding ceremony, the couple and their guests arrived at the reception, which was taking place in a renovated barn that had been wonderfully decorated. We began by serving a delicious salmon starter to the guests, which was a delicious and light first course.
Following this, the guests enjoyed a succulent sirloin steak, which was cooked freshly to maximise flavour. For meat-free guests, we also served BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a great pork alternative. The main dishes were accompanied by a variety of delicious sides, including roasted baby potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Alongside the beautiful wedding cake, the guests also enjoyed profiteroles or individual cheesecakes for dessert. The final course was elegant and delicious, suiting the theme of the reception perfectly.
