Our catering manager Rik was hired to provide catering for a small christening party at the end of February, serving a delicious menu to 30 guests. The event took place at Maidencombe Manor in Torquay, which is a beautiful venue for all kinds of private parties and events! For this christening party, the menu needed to be family friendly and include a tasty meat-free option for the guests to choose if they wish.
On the day of the christening, the Hog Roast Maidencombe team arrived early in the morning to prepare for the 12:00pm mealtime. We began by roasting the hog, which needed to be slow roasted to perfection before it was carved. The sliced meat was then served in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative. For the meat-free choice, we provided grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, which is a delicious main dish. The rolls were accompanied by a variety of sides, including sage and onion stuffing, fresh salad, and homemade chips.
To suit the formality of the event, the menu was served with disposable plates and napkins. Our catering was a great addition to the party and provided something for every guest to enjoy! The Hog Roast Maidencombe team are grateful to have been part of such a special event.
