Engagements are a wonderful reason to have a party, and Hog Roast Wellswood’s latest event was just such a loving and exciting celebration. Clients Harry and Joe wanted a special party with their friends to celebrate their engagement.
The clients worked closely with the team to come up with a delicious buffet that would be a treat for all 20 of their guests. Harry and Joe were very keen that the menu should be informal but have plenty of choice for the vegetarian and vegan guests. Alongside Chef Rik from the Hog Roast Wellswood team that is exactly what the menu was- diverse and inclusive, but still fun and informal.
Experienced Chef Rik arrived at the pub where the celebration was taking place and set up the catering gazebo and cooking equipment in the garden of the venue. As soon as everything was set up Catering Manager Rik got straight to work, every dish for the buffet was created from scratch by hand at the beautiful, calm, quiet venue.
When the 5pm serving time rolled around clients and happy couple Harry and Joe were delighted with the wonderful spread they were greeted with. There was a Classic Hog Roast served with crispy crackling, homemade sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. Alongside that there was also succulently grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, delicious BBQ pulled jackfruit. Also on offer was a large platter of skin on potato wedges, Chefs choice of three salads, one of which was a bowl of fresh crunchy coleslaw and of course, no Hog Roast buffet is complete with a selection of soft rolls and wraps for the guests to enjoy.
Once the buffet had been eaten by the ravenous guests and the happy couple Catering Manager Rik quietly tidied away. Not only did he take the rubbish from the buffet, but as part of the catering package that Harry and Joe had paid for Chef Rik also took the used items of disposable crockery and cutlery that the guests had used.
Harry and Joe and all their guests had a brilliant time and absolutely loved the variety of dishes that the buffet had offered. Everyone from the team wishes Harry and Joe all the best.
