This year for Halloween, our team at Hog Roast Wellswood has been invited to spend the weekend at a local scare trail, where, instead of a traditional haunted house, ticket holders will embark on a nightmarish, but exciting, quest through a forest maze, during which time they’ll come face to face with an assortment of actors playing monstrous creatures including ghosts and demons, vampires and werewolves, crazed slashers and even escaped serial killers, too!
We’ve found that this newer, and more interactive, adult-focused take on the classical Halloween experience of venturing into a dilapidated building or riding a ghost train has been increasing in popularity over the last few years in the UK. And Mike, the organiser of this upcoming weekend-long event, has been working incredibly hard lately to ensure that his horror-fueled experience lives up to the guests’ expectations and stands out from other similar events taking place this October.
By working closely with our catering manager, Rik, Mike has also managed to come up with the perfect treat to follow all those tricks and frightful jump scares that the attendees will encounter throughout the evening. For meat-lovers, this will mean the chance to dig into a fresh-baked wholemeal roll, stuffed full of mouth-watering pulled pork, crackling and sage and onion stuffing, topped off with a generous dollop of our homemade applesauce, which brings together and enhances those rich, meaty flavours. Veggies and vegans, on the other hand, will be offered Hog Roast Wellswood’s famous grilled vegetable kebabs, which come served in a wrap with the added option of Greek halloumi cheese chunks, a punchy sweet chilli sauce and a wonderful tzatziki dip.
With the event scheduled to last for four hours each night, the Hog Roast Wellswood team certainly has a busy time ahead of them, but we live for a challenge, and with Rik in charge, both nights are guaranteed to run smoothly. Adding to that, Mike is already so impressed by the can-do attitude of our team, and now that he’s shared the news of our involvement on the booking page for his event, he’s finding that the remaining tickets are selling out fast!
