Tammy and Josh are a wonderful couple that recently required Hog Roast Maidencombe catering for their wedding reception. They got married in August and hosted an evening reception in Lymington, with 100 of their friends and family in attendance. After discussing their catering needs with our manager Rik, they decided on our Classic Hog Roast menu, with a delicious vegetarian alternative.
We arrived at the venue on the day of the event with plenty of time to cook and prepare our dishes before the 20:00 mealtime. We began by slow-roasting the hog, ensuring that it was packed full of natural juices and flavours. The hog took around 4 hours to roast slowly and evenly and was served with homemade sage and onion stuffing and fresh applesauce. We also prepared grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, served with pita bread and tzatziki dip. The mains were also served with homemade chips to create a delicious meal.
Our catering was served on bamboo crockery and cutlery, creating an ideal level of formality for the wedding reception. Our menu was served buffet style, allowing the guests to create their perfect meal. It was an ideal addition to the evening and was a great talking point for the reception, providing something for the guests to chat about as they enjoyed their dinner. Once the dishes had been enjoyed, we wrapped up any leftovers and got to work clearing down our station.
