Earlier this year, Hog Roast Teignmouth was contacted by Michael to arrange catering for his mother’s upcoming 70th birthday party. Michael was in charge of organising the party and this included hiring a venue and catering and creating a guest list of 30 of his mother’s closest friends and family. The party was set to take place at Heronwood in Chichester, which is a great venue for a private birthday party. For the menu, he reached out to our catering manager Rik to discuss menu options for the occasion. After looking through our options, it was decided that our Southern Slow-Roast menu would be ideal for the occasion, alongside a tasty meat-free alternative and a selection of side dishes.
On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Teignmouth team arrived at the venue and got to work on slow-roasting the main dishes. We prepared Cajun-spiced whole roasted chickens, a Texan 24-hour beef brisket, and a delicious BBQ pork butt, as well as grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers as a meat alternative. Additionally, we also served succulent pork sausages to ensure that there was something for every guest to enjoy. For the side dishes, we prepared corn cobettes, homemade chips, sweet potato fries and a seasonal green leaf salad. This menu was incredibly varied and included a wide variety of dishes for the guests to choose from, ensuring that everyone had an enjoyable meal! Our catering was a great addition to this surprise party and was definitely a meal to be remembered.
