Hog Roast Barton’s latest event was catering a Stag night, organised by Best Man Joel, the team were hired to make a smashing buffet for the night of fun. Groom Callum had no idea that his friend had booked special buffet, so it was an extra special event!
Client Joel worked with the Hog Roast Barton team to put together a catering package that met the needs of the 12 guests and his budget. The food was made fresh at the cabin retreat venue by Chef Rik and he would be on hand to carve up the meat and help serve the guests.
Chef Rik was granted access to the venue several hours before the 8pm serving time. He set up his catering equipment and got straight to work on preparing the dishes for the buffet. The stag party arrived just after he set up his equipment and Groom Callum was thrilled that his Best Man had gone to the trouble of booking a delicious buffet for everyone to enjoy!
Chef Rik and the food were kept sage from the elements under the gazebo and lights, so that when 8pm rolled around and everything was prepared for the guests, they could eat delicious food.
A slow spit roasted pig was scored and sizzled for hours under Chef Rick’s expert gaze. It was served with crispy crackling, homemade sage and onion stuffing and tasty apple sauce. There was also a vegetarian couscous dish available for the guests to tuck into. The buffet had lots of tasty seasonal vegetables too, and a large platter of new potatoes that had been roasted in rosemary and garlic. Finishing off the buffet was a selection of dips and sauces and an assortment of soft gluten free rolls.
The guests were all thrilled with the buffet and ate as much as they wanted! The whole buffet went down a treat with the celebrating group of best pals.
Once the buffet had been thoroughly enjoyed Chef Rik quietly tidied away the equipment, lights and gazebo. All the rubbish from the buffet was gathered by him too and would be disposed of by the Hog Roast Barton team responsibly.
The stag party was a wild success, Client Joel was chuffed by the standard of the buffet and his friend’s reactions, it was a job very well done.
