Got A Milestone Birthday On The Horizon? Give Hog Roast Exmouth A Call!

Hog Roast ExmouthIf you happened to spot our Hog Roast Exmouth van cruising through town on the 9th of January and wondered what we were up to, we can finally put you out of your misery. We were on our way to Withycombe Rugby Football Club for a proper celebration – the kind that only comes around once in a lifetime.

The occasion? A 50th birthday. And a big one at that.

Our lovely client had hired out the clubhouse and filled it with around 100 friends and family who were all ready for a night of good company and plenty of laughs. All that was missing was something hearty to keep everyone fuelled.

That’s where Hog Roast Exmouth’s one and only catering superstar, Rik, stepped in. He arrived well ahead of the evening’s scheduled 8:30 pm serving time – because a hog roast isn’t something you rush. But when it was finally time to eat, our hog proved well worth the wait.

The pork was tender, juicy and full of natural flavour that was enhanced by our simple salt rub. The meat pulled apart easily, while the crackling had that proper crunch people always go wild for and the smell? Let’s just say it had the effect of bees to honey on those hungry guests. On the side, we served up our homemade applesauce with a nice balance of sweet and sharp, plus fluffy sage and onion Hog Roast Exmouthstuffing that had soaked up all those lovely juices during cooking.

Guests could load everything into wholemeal or gluten-free rolls and wraps, building their perfect plate or enjoy the hog in a deconstructed format. And no one was left out. For those skipping the meat, Hog Roast Exmouth served grilled vegetable and halloumi kebabs with sweet chilli sauce and cool tzatziki, which disappeared just faster than we could have imagined.

We loved being part of such a special milestone and helping keep everyone well fed while the celebrations carried on. Happy 50th from all of us at Hog Roast Exmouth – thanks for having us along and letting us share the night with you.
