There’s never a dull moment for our team here at Hog Roast Starcross! As Torbay’s best-rated mobile catering and rental service, our diary is always chock full of exciting celebrations, high-class corporate functions and unique events, meaning that for us, no two days are ever the same – which happens to be just the way we like it!
With the country now on route to normality, Hog Roast Starcross’s crew, especially our catering manager, Rik, have been unbelievably busy lately as we aim to juggle a long list of rescheduled bookings, take on a sea of new clients and stay on top of the latest news for our sector. In between all of this though, we recently had the absolute pleasure of helping fellow hog roast enthusiasts, Jennifer and Peter, get their hands on one of our reliable spit-roasting machines ahead of a small group get-together they had planned for their one-year wedding anniversary.
Having read up on our rental options online, the pair were keen to try it out for themselves, and after talking through the details with Rik, the couple quickly settled on hiring our HogMaster Pro, which makes light work of cooking even the largest of hogs. With Jennifer and Peter only planning to gather with a small handful of people, though, it made more sense to include a suckling pig with their order, along with the usual ingredients for side salads and potato dishes.
Both clients were very pleased with this solution, and when the day of their anniversary finally arrived, they were elated by Rik’s punctuality. Dropping the machine off first thing in the morning, along with gas canisters, a gazebo, farm-fresh ingredients and enough crockery and cutlery for everyone, meant that Jennifer and Peter had everything they could possibly need hours ahead of time. On top of that, Rik stuck around for a little while to run over the basics and impart some great advice.
When Hog Roast Starcross returned the following morning to collect the used equipment, Jennifer and Peter were in high spirits and couldn’t believe how easy it had been for them to cook such a theatrical meal for their loved ones.
