A local secondary school in Torbay is planning to host their annual sports day in May this year, with the addition of tasty Hog Roast Roundham catering. Every year the sports day is lots of fun for students and teachers alike, thanks to the combination of team sports, solo events, and ‘just-for’-fun’ activities. To boost morale on the day, the school have chosen to hire our catering manager Rik to provide a delicious buffet lunch for 200 students and staff. This is set to be a big catering event, but one that will certainly be a lot of fun!
When catering for an event this size, it is important for the Hog Roast Roundham team to stay organised and on top of things. All of our dishes are prepared on-site on the day of the event, so our team have planned to arrive with plenty of time to roast the hogs to perfection and expertly carve them. For meat-free guests, we are also served BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious meat alternative. The main dishes will be served in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For the side dishes, we will also be serving a seasonal salad and homemade chips. Overall, this is a delicious and nutritious menu and one that is bound to go down as a treat on the day!
