Hog Roast Plymouth Serves A Delicious Christmas Feast For Ventro Group!

Hog Roast PlymouthIt’s honestly hard to put into words just how much fun Christmas 2025 turned out to be for us at Hog Roast Plymouth… but we’ll give it a go anyway! The festive period is always our busiest time of year, but nothing quite prepared us for the sheer level of demand we saw in the run-up to Christmas this time around.

From late November straight through to the New Year, the calls and emails just kept on coming. Every time we cleared one enquiry, another seemed to pop up. Early starts became the norm, late finishes didn’t feel late anymore, and the diary filled up faster than we could have imagined. Not that we’re complaining – far from it. All that hard work was worth it when we saw people’s reactions as they tucked into our food, especially those trying a hog roast for the first time.

But as well as having lots of new bookings, it was great to work with some familiar faces too. One highlight was catering once again for Ventro Group. This marked our second year in a row working with the fire protection and safety experts, and we were genuinely thrilled that they trusted us to look after their Christmas celebrations once again.

Hog Roast Plymouth’s catering manager, Rik, took point on this booking and made sure everything was cooked, prepped, and ready to serve by 12 pm sharp. With 160 guests in attendance – and plenty of healthy appetites to match – we knew the menu needed to be generous and varied in equal measure.

So, as well as rustling up our signature hog roast with stuffing, crackling and applesauce on the side, we prepared whole-roasted turkeys, cooked low and slow to maintain as much juiciness and flavour Hog Roast Plymouthas possible. Cranberry sauce paired perfectly with the white meat and we had Yorkshire puddings for guests to pack full of their festive faves.

Of course that’s not all that was on the menu – because when it comes to feasts, the sides are just as important. And Hog Roast Plymouth takes our side dish game very, very seriously. We had homemade cauliflower cheese, a medley of glazed seasonal vegetables, pigs in blankets, roasted new potatoes and homemade gravy to smother everything in.

When I tell you guests were in their element as they filled – and refilled – their plates, I’m not joking. With something on the menu for everyone, no one was left out and no one went home hungry on Hog Roast Plymouth’s watch.
