Here at Hog Roast Torbay, we understand that every wedding reception is different. All couples will have their unique vision for the day, and should reflect them in the best way possible. Therefore, we love working with couples to chat about their preferred menu options, and that’s exactly what we did with Carla and Sean. We were delighted when they got in touch to book us for their evening reception. In the months before, we held meetings to chat about their needs and wants, and they decided on having our classic hog roast. (A brilliant choice in our opinion). Carla and Sean had always dreamed of a hog roast on their wedding day, so it was a no-brainer.
As the hog takes hours to cook, Hog Roast Torbay arrived at the venue in the late morning to get set up and prepped. We brought along our state-of-the-art machine that has been designed and manufactured by our team. We placed the raw pig on the spit and got the process underway. As the hours went by, the pork transformed into a golden-brown crispy delight, with a tender centre. As for sides? The couple settled on a tomato and mozzarella salad, coleslaw and a mixture of fries. The couple also had a few vegetarians in attendance. So, we also served alternatives, including grilled halloumi and vegetable skewers. There was plenty to go around for 105 guests!
We fully appreciate that wedding planning can be stressful, but we’ll aim to take the pressure off when it comes to catering.
