After being unable to celebrate their 50th anniversary in style during lockdown, Jane and her partner are now getting to celebrate their 51st anniversary with friends and family! They had planned a beautiful event taking place at Compton Pool Farm, with delicious Hog Roast Marldon catering and 30 friends and family. Jane contacted our catering manager Rik to discuss catering options and she settled on our Southern slow roast menu, followed by desserts.
On the morning of the celebration, our team arrived at the farm early to cook and prep our dishes. We began by slow roasting a Texan 24 hour beef brisket, Louisiana sticky pork ribs, and a pulled quarter of minted lamb. Each meat was cooked to perfection after being coated in our secret recipe marinades and rubs. For meat-free guests we served grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers, to ensure that there was something for everyone to enjoy. Alongside the mains we served Greek salad, crunchy coleslaw, green leaf salad, and roasted baby new potatoes, creating a balanced and delicious menu!
Once the guests had enjoyed their tasty main course, we served strawberry vacherin and chocolate torte. The catering was served on wooden crockery and cutlery, which was the ideal level of formality for the occasion. Our catering went down a treat and had something for everyone to enjoy, which is essential for a successful meal!
