With 2021 making their 10th year of trading, a local beauty salon contacted Hog Roast Shiphay to book catering for their anniversary party. The guest list for their party included staff, loyal customers and management, with 70 guests requiring catering for the event. we were asked to provide our classic Southern Slow Roast menu since it includes many delicious dishes and is a versatile option for any event.
On the day of the event, we arrived at the venue early to slow-roast our meats to perfection. We prepared a Texan beef brisket, sticky Louisiana ribs, and a BBQ pork butt. Each dish was marinated using a secret recipe sauce and cooked slowly throughout the day. We also provided mac and cheese, crunchy coleslaw, roasted baby new potatoes, and corn cobbettes. Alongside the dishes, we prepared a selection of delicious sauces, including smokey sweet BBQ glaze, Cajun hot pepper sauce, and legendary hickory bourbon BBQ sauce. Overall this created a delicious and versatile menu for the guests to enjoy, with enough dishes to ensure that there was something for everyone to enjoy.
The menu was served buffet style on wooden bamboo crockery and cutlery, creating an informal and rustic feel for the menu. After the catering had been thoroughly enjoyed, we wrapped up any leftovers and began discretely clearing away our catering station.
